The printer showing at the left is a Z Corporation Spectrum z510. This is a powder-based 3D printer that uses standard HP inkjet printer heads to deliver a binder to the powder. In the video you can see the arm drag across a layer of fresh powder, and then come back and print out the next layer. This process happens over and over to build up the full-color object.

The printer showing at the bottom is a Dimension SST 1200es. This machine outputs in ABS plastic through a Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method. The printer operates by extruding ABS plastic through a heated tip, first drawing an outline of the layer and then going back and filling in the outline. During operation, the chamber is at 167° F (75° C) and the tip is at 572° F (300° C).
