A one-minute presentation for the 20/20 session of the 2010 Emerging Issues Forum:

"Here you’ll see the fighter jet of bats, an agile flyer even in a wind tunnel, where multiple hi-speed cameras get different angles on the movements.

"We digitize the spatial information. Markers enable us to track changing locations of the body, in a 3D software model that moves over time, the 4th dimension.

"We can use meshes, balls-and-rods, and other kinds of models. We can trace the movements to help us understand them better.

"We study movements for dance, athletics, physical therapy and occupational rehab. We can create character animations for films, games, and app’s for education and entertainment. We can design prosthetic devices and other products across a broad range of disciplines and needs.

"CDI links campuses in the statewide UNC system
to the community college system. We’re actively engaged with businesses and others in our community, as together we build on strengths of our region.

"We are truly, madly, deeply about innovation –
the key to our future economy."
