Research/Learning environment

CDI's studio encourages collaboration through reconfigurable, open spaces. Most of the furniture is on wheels and we change the layout frequently, as various projects and programs require.

The 21st-floor location of the interim facility affords inspiring vistas, which we supplement with computer displays showing results of video experiments, 3D graphics, data visualizations and multimedia productions.

We are well on the way to creating "an environment in which diverse constituents generate, develop and translate creative thinking to foster the growth of education, research and commercial enterprises," according to CDI's mission.

CDI's future facility, soon to be constructed, will extend our ability to prepare students, displaced workers and lifelong learners with the concepts and skills needed for creative participation in today's knowledge economy.
