Hours of operation: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, with occasional events on evenings and weekends and behind-the-scenes stuff happening all the time. We welcome visitors.

Directions: Winston Tower is the second-tallest building in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. You can see the high-rise building as you approach Winston-Salem from any direction. We are on North Main Street between 3rd and 4th Streets. In Winston Tower, look for the elevators that go to floor 21.

Driving from points east such as Raleigh and Greensboro:
Take Interstate Route 40 West, passing the exit for PTI (GSO) airport. Stay to the right, following Exit 188 and Business Route 40 to Kernersville / Downtown Winston-Salem. Continue past Highway 52 and take Exit 5D onto Main Street heading north. Turn right onto Main Street. Winston Tower will soon be on your right.

Driving from points west such as Boone and Asheville:
Take Interstate Route 40 East to Winston-Salem and Exit 5D onto Main Street. Keep left at the fork, then turn left onto Main Street heading north. Winston Tower will soon be on your right.

Driving from points along Highway 52:
(from Virginia and Mt. Airy to the north or from Charlotte and Lexington to the south)
Take US Highway 52 to Exit 109B for Business Route 40 West.  Take Exit 5D for Main Street. Turn right on Main Street heading North. Winston Tower will soon be on your right.

Parking: Limited free parking is available in the building's garage and additional spaces are easy to find on the street and in nearby decks. Access to the Winston Tower garage is at the back of the building, via Church Street. You can enter until 7:00pm and exit at any time. When you arrive inside the building, be sure to note what level you are on and look for the elevators that go to floor 21.

In transition: CDI's current address is an interim location in which we are conducting start-up operations while awaiting construction of the center's permanent facility. The new building will be located in downtown Winston-Salem's Piedmont Triad Research Park. CDI's permanent home is projected to become operational in 2013.
